While there are some people who rightfully claim that 3D movies are mostly just fluff, there are some movies that are truly better if they use the technology. There are some films that were just flat out made for this format. You should go out of your way to see these eight films in 3D as soon as possible.
This might be a bit of a surprise as the first movie on the list. The reason this film, starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney tops the list is because the 3D tech puts the viewers into the film. The flick is about astronauts in the vastness of space and you get to feel that as well using 3D tech.
You’re going to see that not every film on this list is a particularly good movie. That doesn’t mean they aren’t fun to watch in 3D. A film about a performer walking across the tallest building in New York will give you vertigo when you sit and feel like you’re up there too.
One of the first films that really took advantage of the return of 3D. The flick isn’t that great, but you should check it out when you feel as though you are on Pandora.
Monters vs Aliens
This animated film will have giant arms and legs flying off the screen at you from beginning to end. It’s a fun movie and even more fun when you’re watching it in 3D.
Journey To The Center Of The Earth
The film is truly one of the worst movies to have been released in the last 20 years. At the same time, it’s full of crazy action and adventure and pretty good special effects. Those effects are even better when you are wearing 3D glasses in order to take it in.
My Bloody Valentine
Yet another pretty bad film all on its own, this is another one that wanted to take advantage of the return of 3D tech to the movie theaters. It was also one of the first that really billed itself as a 3D flick and for good reason.
Alice in Wonderland (2010)
It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that when you’re talking about an entire world of craziness, that the craziness is going to look quite a bit cooler in 3D.
Toy Story 3
There are few films as perfect as Toy Story 3. The 3D technology added in gives the film just a little more depth. It makes an already more perfect film just a little bit better. You can feel like you’re truly in that world.
